Deering wasn't dropped until 1949. So the ones without Deering are more correct. If they are correct for a '49 and later non-demo, they won't be quite correct for a white tractor. The "I" in the IH emblem is transparent in regular decals so the red paint will show through. The demo decals have a red "I". Seems like most restored demos I see have white paint showing through the "I". Some people have put a carefuly placed patch of red paint on their hoods to turn the "I" red.
By the way, the '48-'49 Cs with the McCormick-Deering decal should also have the IH emblem. Your description sounds like it is missing. Doesn't matter for what you are asking about.
