At 2 hrs on the engine i adj the valves(which were not off very far) according to the book, so i know they are alright. Timeing could be my problem tho. When I put the dist on i just turned to TDC comp stroke and turned the rotor so that it was just before firing the #1 cylinder. So I'm not for sure as to how much advance I have. Also, if I were to line up the advance mark on the pully with the pointer, and have the rotor fire #1 cyl, it would fire it before reaching TDC, and just backfire, right? Not for sure how clear I was on that. I can try to explain a little better if you need me to.
