Ken, I just had a similar problem with my Farmall MD. I would start it and after it ran on gas for a few minutes it would die like the switch was shut off. I checked the carb, fuel flow, cutoff switch when switching from gas to diesel, but in the end it was the ignition switch. When I check the switch it always worked, but when the tractor was running it vibrated the switch and eventually the switch would loose it's contact. I finally discovered it by shutting off the switch and turning it on as the tractor was quitting. A new switch fixed it. Roger
