You can drill a Super A block for the dipstick. My 230 had the dipstick as original equipment, we had to replace the block and the only thing we could find was a Super C block. The mechanic spent a few minutes with a drill and brazed a tube right in for the stick. If you look on the block the boss for the dipstick is already there. I think the distributors appeared around 1950. You could buk a kit from IH as well as aftermarket to convert a mag. ignition to distributor. The spin-on is also a later add-on, I believe IH offered this but I don't know the number. I have never inquired about it, but see it on some tractors, especially the newer ones. Al
