Have 1940 IH truck that I use for hauling firewood. Last weekend I was driving between the woods and the house and heard an arcing noise then the truck died. Turned out the battery cable had come loose and bounced off (disconnected). Arced the post up pretty goood. Wouldn't start again. Have worked on it some and found the following. - 6 volts to the coil, - points will spark (bright blue) when I open and close them with a screw driver (when the lobe is set where they should be closed) - No spark at the plugs (best I can tell trying to crank it with a screwdriver jumping the starter button on the firewall. -Testing for continuity I have continuity from the plug inside the center of the cap to the coil end of the coil wire.
