Click on the article archives to the left and go down to the Step by setp 12 volt conversion. This is for an M but the H is the same. I just did it last weak and it worked wonderful. The biggest problem I had was the parts house didn:t know what a 10SI was. It is a 63 amp early chevy chevette. I had to make a bracket and it just fit under the hood, but it is putting out 14.25 volts. You have to rev the engine up to excite the regulator, but then you can idle it back and it will keep charging. I used the light as an indicator of charging and left the guage out. Good luck
