I recently rescued a B Farmall from the scrap man. She is not much to look at but had a complete vacuum lift system, and a full set of planters plus a pile of extras. I did notice she had a steering arm bolted to the front bolster (exactly like the one on my SC) I didn"t know what that was for till today. I was moving the pile of iron that came with the "B" to line it up on the fence row and found this Disk plow. The plow is in fairly nice condition (NOT all bent up) it even has the stand still on it. The only part # I could find in the fading light was the main beam # 512117R1. that beam looks to have been used on more than one plow.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
