Absolutely! I just went thru a nightmare concerning that. I've a 51 International I-6 with a 6 volt pos ground. The previous owner tried to switch over to 12 volt neg ground and did everything wrong. So in my adventure I took both the generator and the starter down to have them rebuilt.( because they were fried) The fun began when I learned (after 250.00)that no one was sure if both were rebuilt as 6 volt or 12 so after alot of trouble I was able to speak to the fellow who actually did it and confirmed that they were rebuilt as 6 volts. Thank God! My only delema now is this:Now that ALL electrical components have been replaced with original parts for 6 volt pos ground system including ALL wires and connectors The engine turns over nice and strong but I am not getting spark so of course it won't fire.TOTALLY STUMPED!!!
