Instead of a load bar that flexes as used in the John Deere system, IH used a torsion bar inside a torgue tube.
There is an arm clamped to the tube that transmits the movement to the draft linkage that moves the control spool to adjust hitch height as needed to maintain draft load.
There are o-rings, replaced with quad rings that seal against the torque tube. There are bushings that the torque tube rides in that can fail. Replacement bushings are composite instead of the original two layer style that can separate.
