Dad used to(35+years ago) far with a 350 and a C. We ahd 3-16 fast hitch plow on the 350, and seems were getting stuck(Quick sand) quite often. The only way we found to pull it out was to unlatch the plow and pull it out backwards with the C. Then we would wrap a chain around the stuck whel on the 350 and pull it out back tight with the C and digthe C doown a little , and back the 350 out on the chain. Worked every time, although sometimes we had to hook up acouple of times. The C just wasn't much help hooking on the front and pulling.
