Keith: Every try resulted in NOT turning the engine over more than 1/4 turn? Maybe not the starter at all. Maybe your engine has a serious internal problem. FirstTry a hand crank? Maybe a need here to Pull plugs and check compression? Careful here if there is internal damage other than the starter and a hand crank is a safe quick check. If thats ok then try pulling to start to make sure the engine is ok. Then back to the starter if engine is OK. harvey
