Oil Pressure gauge on an H

When my son cleaned up and painted the H that he bought from his grandfather, he installed a new oil pressure gauge. I was noticing the other night when I went to move the tractor that the oil pressure was at 75 pounds while running. I then noticed after I shut off the tractor that the oil pressure stayed at 75 pounds. This would lead me to believe that there was some type of blockage in the line to the gauge or inside of the engine. When we pulled the pan on the tractor it was very clean inside for a 50 year old.
Any thoughts.
