Denny - I've only owned my SH since last year - not a clue how much it was used in it's previous 45 years. However judging from the wear on the drawbar hole, it's got a LOT of hours. But it runs like a clock and doesn't burn a drop of oil - gotta think the motor was rebuilt fairly recently. When I had the pan off, I found a layer of sludge in the bottom. Also the oil pickup float had a pinhole in it and and sunk so the pickup screen was partially blocked by the gunk in the pan. I drained the float, patched the hole and cleaned the pan. Suppose this also may have helped increase the oil pressure. I also own a Super M. It runs 60 psi at 1,450 RPM, cold or hot. It idles at 50 psi hot. Motor has been rebuilt twice - probably has 2,000 hours since the most recent rebuild. ...Bob M
