Pull the timing plate off the bellhousing and put the pointer back in with the two bolt and start looking for the timing marks , remove the valve cover and turn the engine over till ya find TDC you will be on either #1 or #6 TDC then look in the book and it will tell you what is what . Ya do 6 valves then ya turn the engine over till it comes back up on TDC and ya do the last six . Pay attention to ware on the rocker arm and place the feeler gauge under the worn area to get and accurate set. And I T manual will lay this out for you and follow it because if ya get it wrong you can have a valve kiss a piston and ya never ever place a feller gauge between the rocker and valve stem running. So go to TSC or order a I T Manual for it and read.
