Timing Problem on H Solved

Thanks to Bob R for responding to my timing question. I believe you were right on track if my tractor was set up with a distributor but this tractor still has the magneto. I found that the phenolic tang on the rotor was broken or worn out. The rotor must have been spinning freely. I pulled the mag off and timed it according to the manual and it starts and runs good now. It sure was a relief and it is amazing how much the folks knew that wrote these manuals. HA! Thanks again for your input Bob and I will be on here again soon. With 2 H's that I play with there is always something that I need to get advice from this board. Ed
