I have used the same system for many years with no problems. Bear in mind, the heaviest of my tractors weighs about 3500#. I make a U shaped loop of 3/8 x 2 steel that fastens to each frame rail just behind the front wheels. In the rear I add a 3/8" thick plate to the drawbar with a hole in it big enough to accomodate 2 chain hooks. Normally the drawbar is designed to be the strongest attachment point on the tractor. Then I use a chain and binder at each of the 4 corners to hold it to the trailer. I paint the attachment points the same as the tractor so the appearance isn't damaged. I use the same method on my Allis B, John Deere B's, and Farmall H. email if you want photos.
