56 series was only made from 1967 to 1971 so definitely not made in 1979 if that's what you meant by "79."
756 Custom had the same cost-cutting measures as the 856 Custom. Smaller-than-stock tires, two fewer headlights, one remote instead of two.
Overall it knocked a couple hundred dollars off the cost of the tractor. Even back then, that was a tiny part of the overall cost of the tractor, and meant only a couple dollars more per month on the payment. Why IH would bother with such insignificant cost-cutting measures has always bothered me.
