Went to an aution today that was an all day affair. This old boy died at 96 years old and had farmed this place his whole life.An IH pick up that was sharp with 56,000 miles on it went for $500.An M with front end loader went for $725.An IH manure spreader that looked like you could eat off it went for $125 and he had a saw atachtment and post driver that went with the M. Lot's of plows and imp. went for $25 to $50. The one thing I had my eye on was a Super A with belly mower and sickle mower and a front end blade went for $2,850. A fine machine but to high for me. He had flat bed trailers full of IH tools and big tools stamped with frisco that all went cheap. The little A was all original and it even had the IH umbrella with it.Wish The Red or Bob M or some of you other guys with fat wallets could have been there.I have never seen a farmer that took such care of his stuff as this man did.
