Yea, they are paper resin gaskets. Buy a sheet of gasket material and cut yourself a new one, I use aviation form-a-gasket with them.
In the 1890's, a professor of chemistry at Amherst College discovered that certain paper, when impregnated with a solution of glue and glycerin, was transformed into a crackle parchment-like material that was waterproof, oilproof and greaseproof.
