With an early non draft control fast hitch, is the hydraulic cylinder on the right side of the tractor really necessary? If you're plowing, how often would you actually adjust the depth control? I've considered a ratchet jack in its place, but is the cylinder necessary? I've plowed with a 3 point with draft control before and have utilized those on the go adjustments for soil variations but without draft control, the 400 would seem to me to be a set it and forget it thing. We've had the lock pin in place for years so I know you don't need the cylinder in place for every day drawbar use.
