Even on a smaller engine, a heavier cable works better. I recently found a coil of 2/0 cable and bought a supply of ends fron NAPA. (I know its overkill). I solder them on to make up my own, but I agree with TIGHT. I think soldering will avoid corrosion problems in the future. I'm using them mostly on Cubs. Amazing how well they crank with the new cables. I have enough new cable to replace all the old cables on my 13 running tractors. I plan to do so, except for the ones that already have cables made from welding cable.
