thanks for the offer, but I already have a set of new springs, and i cannot instal the keepers unless I remove a couple turns of the spring, which I do not plan to do. There are no Rotocaps on any of these valves. I do not think this is a case of someone mismatching, since I do have another block on the shelf with the same part number, and both have the same spring setup, and a standard spring is to long to be able to put the keepers in on both blocks. the springs are noticeably thinner material than all the others I have checked, plus being shorter and considerable less tension. The one I have on the shelf is going to be a donor, since it has so little use the cylinders only measure .004 wear, but it has an ear broken completely off, and I have already robbed other parts from it. The springs in the donor are all the same length relaxed, but the ones in the engine I am working on were different lengths relaxed
