The cheapest oil you can get now is better quality than what was available when the tractor was new. If you change the oil now I bet you will never have to change it again.
And another thing, the tractor worked hard all day, every day for many years after it was made. It has worked a lot harder than it ever will at tractor pulls. In all seriousness, it is my opinion that there is no need for fancy expensive synthetic or name brand oil, the tractor will not care and will run just as well on the cheap no name stuff.
