As Pete indicates. Probably a hydraulic lock (fluid in the combustion chamber, could be gasoline, or coolant, or water down the muffler. In all cases find out what it is before cranking it with the plugs in. If a piece of metal from ? gets on top of a piston, it will destroy the engine if cranked (especially if pull started. Were it mine I would look in each cylinder with a bore scope if there is no fluid in the cylinders. I also would make sure to assess the type of liquid in the chamber when getting it to turn over. Insight there is important. If it is frozen, water. (probably the best thing to find) you may need to heat that cylinder with a propane torch till it melts out. Bent rods broken piston rings and bent valves can be easily manufactured by an engine close to TDC being forced over the top. Jim
