CNKS, looked at GSS-1170 264 engine. It says 100. Later engines like a C-281 used a thin hard washer about like a grade 8 SAE one. Can't remember for sure but the OD of the SAE washer may be to big without trimming one edge for a SM. If so that maybe why the thicker washer was used to make up for strength lost due to a smaller OD. If the SAE washer will work you would need to make sure the bolt doesn't bottom out. Don't know if 2 grade 8 washers stacked would be asking for trouble or not. Think you can get X heavy hard washers somewhere. If it takes a original washer I could probably look through my junk and find one. Always saved stuff like that when a block was junk.
