Andrew Psencik said: (quoted from post at 19:23:36 03/12/13) Is an f20 a suitable tractor for a drag type mower? I would like to work this tractor some. The drawbar seems to be in a strange position (really high) for mowing. It seems it would put the mower at a bad angle. I could make a dropped drawbar to attach to it. The pto also seems to be in such a position that the pro shaft would interfere with the drawbar. I've got an 6 foot mower I would like to use. One thing I'm worried about is a lack of cooling capabilities of this tractor due to the lack of a water pump. Maybe I just worry too much. But if anyone has ever worked one of these old girls, please share some of the strong points. Also, how big of a disc is acceptable. Thanks.
The original pto shaft is smaller than a modern ISO shaft and is too far back under the tractor. There is a pto extension that puts it in the proper configuration with the ISO sized shaft. The drawbar is adjustable, lots of holes and positions to pick from there. As for cooling the thermo siphon works exactly as it was designed to. The tractor will pull its rated load all day without issue. An 8' disk should match up good.

Up to about 1958 the dairy cows were fed hay with some turnips and after that grass silage was the main winter feed. That same year was the last in which flax was grown on the farm. Flax provided the fibre which w
