They are easy to rebuild. I got a second hand one from Zach because the original was damaged. Bought a kit for the pump and started work. I used the exploded diagram in the parts book and asked advice here to find the small pin in the pulley flange. Once you get the pump apart, reassembly with new innards is easy. Take your time, make sure everything is clean and you'll have no trouble. It took a couple of hours to dismantle the pump and reassemble it. You don't need many tools, just spanners to dismantle, and a punch to knock the pin and bearings out. I knocked the new bearings in with the old ones.
