T-Bone, I have a 2001 Dodge with the high out put diesel and six speed and I really like it. At work we have a regular diesel and I can tell you there is all kinds of difference as my 2001 will really crank out the power as compared to the one at work. I have a flat bed trailer that is 36 feet long and rated for 18,000 GVW and it hauls it really well. I had a '95 Dodge with the V-10 and I really liked that as it had really good power but this HO diesel will really run. I got the V-10 in '95 because of the power but now the diesel has more umph. My '95 had automatic which I liked but I don't mind the six speed as it has enogh power that you don't have to shift a lot. Mine is 4 wheel drive, 4:10 gears and only has a little over 1200 miles on it. My only complaint is just driving back an forth from work I am only grtting about 13 to 14 mpg. Hope this improves.
