T/Bone if you are going to buy a new dodge wiht a cummins h/o trust me when i tell you to get the 3.55 gear ratio in it, you will have more then enough power to pull a trailer even in my country do not get the auto stay with the 6 speed you will get about 19 to 24 mpg with this set up you never want to tow in over drive unlees you injoy pulling tranny out ,now some guys will argue this but this comes from experince you are buying a diesel you must think diesel the engine makes it toqure in the lower end from 1450 to about 2250 this is where you want to run it at. also don't do like every one eles after you run it for about 10000 miles take it in and have the overhead set i have found that the valves are way out on most of them you can't believe how much difference it makes, i can tell on mine the fuel milage dropes off . i have mine set at 250 h/p planing to go to 320 in the spring and going to change gears do not like 4.10's
