With a course steel wool pad, or brillo pad, and either lacquer thinner, or carb spray, it will come off. Use the liquid sparingly, and nitrile, or poly gloves to prevent contact (and skin absorption) Outside is best or with good ventilation. I would not cover the tractor with black poly or any poly. A carport or roof to keep sun off is better. Poly will allow condensation within the cover in moist air, and make more issues than it solves. The cool tractor condenses moisture from the air, and the poly keeps it in.(unless you are in AZ or NM with dry dry conditions) Jim
