Jon, I would buy a seal removal tool. If you don't want to do that ,then you can try to drive a flat tipped screwdriver or small chisel in between the seal outer ring and the housing. Once you get it started then keep prying at it till you get it out or it turns enough for you to pull it out with a pair of pliars or small vise grips. Good luck!
