Rog, I have and early 40 that never had electric. Hand crank only. block was repair and i have had no issues. I have not started it in 2 years. It is in the back of the barn. old paint. Closest to you would be if I brought it to RPRU in June. I would have to see if I could find pictures. oldiron29
