I shut mine down on gas. Others on the site shut theirs down on diesel. They have many strong words against shutting down on gas. The manual says to shut down on gas. I feel my tractor restarts better when shut down on gas. To each their own. IMO if you cool it down properly you won't crack a head with either fuel.
