So last fall I replaced the bearing and seals in my '52 H waterpump. I'm just now getting around to putting it back together and I've got an issue. My bearing clamp nut that goes on the outside of the shaft is wanting to cross threads. I've got far enough that even if I could find a 1" tap of the right threads, chasing probably wouldn't be enough. The shaft still looks good, though.
Does anyone have a junk water pump sitting around that I could have the bearing nut from? I'll be checking with my dealer tomorrow, but I have a feeling that it won't be available.
Below are a couple pictures of the part I need. In the first picture it is the large steel nut with the tapered end that is sitting on top of the water pump. In the bottom picture it is item #19 (48028DB).
