Place a single bottle jack under the jack point on the clutch housing (a flat). Remove the two bolts that connect the tie rods to the steering bolster. There are 4 bolts that hold the wide front to the front bolster, remove these and the wide front will come off. The bolts go with the wide front. If you need to move the tires over do so at this time. Jack stands could be nice if you need to move the cast centers over as well. If you do not need to move the cast centers, bolt the wheels on first before attaching to the steering bolster. You will need 4 nuts and lock washers which I hope you will get with the new narrow front pedestal or if you are so blessed the person who removed the original pedestal left them screwed to the studs. Have fun. I did it every season both ways back in the day from the time I was about 14 until I left home at 21 . . . with no help. It is not that hard to do.
