I just did a conversion on a SMTA which should be about the same. I turned the original bracket upside down(mounts curve up) and drilled the front hole as suggested above. I used a 1/2 inch nut on the front end of the bracket between it and the alternater mount to get proper alignment. I needed a 35 inch belt to make it fit(my original was 34) For the top bracket I had the upper thermostat housing off and on the front of it was a flat spot with some "meat" to the metal. I drilled and taped it for a 5/16 bolt an used the original bracket, enlarging the hole on the end where it bolts to the alternater. fits under the hood fine, not a lot of adjustment but enough. I found that you could turn the bracket the other way around and use a 33 inch belt but you have to notch the bracket and the alternater sets lower
