Greg, Guy Fay commented on this at one time. The starter switch had three locations and I think you had an option for awhile where you wanted it located. There was the center hole on the rear gas tank support. There was an offset hole on the rear gas tank support and then up on the steering post. My 1945 Indy H and 1946 Old Red H are up on the steering post. If you are hunting for the base that goes across from the light switch box, that holds the starter switch, give Gary Biewer a hollar. 218-937-5627. I might have one but I don't know when I'll be back out at the farm. You will need a 40 inch 1 gauge cable from the starter switch to the starter post. NAPA part number 714091 BEL.
