I have never done one , but I saw a post on another forum on how to do it that looked like a good idea. The four bolts that hold the pump were replaced with a long section of threaded rod one at a time. Nuts ran up to the pump. Then a little at a time with a ratcheting wrench turn the nuts down and slowly lower the pump onto the ground or a cradle. Eliminated all the awkwardness of the jack with the shape of the pump.
