pressure test with pan,valve cover and any other cover removed that will help to see a leak,years ago man i worked with rebuilt a 6 cylinder ford diesel in a truck i was mounting pole racks on,we had ran it at different times while adding the racks and other items checked the oil each time,went to move it to paint it pull the dip stick it was 2 gallons over full antifreeze on the stick,pressure test found a liner leaking upon removal found the o-rings one rolled one cut,that particular sleeve didn't have the end tapered as much as the others,the rings and liner were lubed good upon assembly
