There is a 99.9% chance your C is a white demo.. In 1950 at the age of 10 I delivered for my father a IH dealer a white C tractor. This was the first time I got to drive a tractor bye myself on the road. The serial number of this tractor was 51485. These tractors were built during the second quarter of the year. for spring deliver to the dealers. for showing and fairs in the summer. Later that year(winter) the tractor was taken back to shop and painted red per instructions of International. My family was in the tractor business for 50 years and I have a record of every tractor sold by the dealership. I currently have a C white Demo with the original red paint over the white. Do not plan on repainting at this time. I think the value will be greater of left original. Good luck with your project.
