my '49 cub has pulled a new one, it wont crank, now this one doesnt have any lites hooked up so the only power is the battery for cranking, it is mag fired for ignition, battery curently reads 4.4 volts, now i ran this cub 4 days ago for several hours,it ran just fine, and showed a charge, it has always been a little hard to shut off, that is i have to hold the kill switch in to stop the engine, so if the kill switch was returning to the hot position, after i take my hand off of it when the engine stops, would it cause a drain on the battery?, the cub will hand start, so the ignition system is still ok, the battery is 2 years old, any ideas would help, trying to figure out if i have a battery bad or something else going on ,also is there something i can do inside the kill switch to make it shut off better, or just replace it?
