Metal in a hydralic system is never good...Several years ago I found chunks in my 706 filter.Still running,nothing since.Later When I replaced the hydralic pump in the 1256,I found a bolt in the bottom of the case.Again.nothing.....Dont worry about your tractor.Run it till you hear/find evidence of problems/damage.I sure would't spend time/money tearing it down to search for a "what if".Good luck.Hopefully it' nothing.
