For the ground (+) I went to NAPA and purchased a #1 braided wire battery cable and grounded to the transmission cover. I works very well with my orginal 6 volt system. They also carry #1 insulated battery cables to run to the starter. The #1s allow the current to pass better and the starter sure seems to turn faster. Know the length you need.
