Well, I had all the Farmall H 6 Volt Positive Earth charging system working nicely, but now…
I went out working on the tractor and had it going nearly all day. All was working well for about four hours and then the ammeter dropped to zero. I stopped for a break, started the tractor on the starter motor and the ammeter stayed at zero thereafter. No smoke, no sparks and lights all still work. Ammeter shows discharge when lights switched on. System just doesn't charge. Wiring is all new and all joints soldered carefully.
I guess the Voltage Regulator is the place to start?
