It is not clear to me they way you describe the problem. If you "shake" the wheel from left to right at the top, and the distributor gear moves up and down, then it would be bad bearings. If you shake the wheel fore and aft, and there is some play, then it might be the spline on the axel shaft or the bull gear worn. If you jack up that wheel, look carefully as the weight comes off the wheel, if the wheel moves at all independent of the tractor, the bearings are bad. Once the wheel is off the ground, put the transmission in gear and rock the wheel forward and backward to see where there might be some play at the bull gear. Regards, Charlie
