As said below, that number should be 53888D. That is for serial numbers 5416 and up. CIH lists the "replacement" for that seal as 3690692R91. Price is $49.50. NAPA number is NOS 19876, price is $45.49. And this site Part number 360692R91 for $25.75. Yesterday's Tractors ships very fast, and their stuff is good. But I would bet for the big money the seal from CIH comes with a redi-sleeve! Might want to check before you make a move. Now, you're just gonna have to learn to do this parts look up thing yourself. Go to Case IH, or Messicks, or the dealer of your choice, and try the parts book. CIH has good online parts books. And most parts are available. Best Regards, Charlie

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
