Intl. rear on Farmall 560?

It appears from the manual that I have an International rear end on my 1959 Farmall 560, based on the location of the transmission drain (vertical on Farmall, horizontal on International, horizontal on mine). And yes, I'm 100% sure that it is Farmall from the headlights forward, although that would leave so room for doubt on the International. I am wondering if 1) I'm interpreting this correctly, or did the designs change after the manual was printed, and 2) could this be related to the trouble with the 560 rear ends? Did they have trouble with both Farmall and International rear ends, or just Farmall? Is there any way to tell from the casting numbers if someone pulled a late model International rear end and put it on this tractor, possibly to get around the trouble? I haven't got any of the casting or serial numbers here, but can get them if it will help. I think it was an early 1959 Farmall, so before they had the final fix worked out. I can't seem to find the triangle on the plate with the serial number to indicate it had been fixed.

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
