I had one more round to go to finish planting my corn this year when I lost all steering control on my 656 tractor. The 3 bolts on the steering gear arm (the part that moves the tie rods) all came out! I was able to put two of the bolts back in and finish the last round, but the one farthest to the front of the tractor was too difficult to get to.
Has anyone else had this problem? Should I use loctite to keep these bolts from coming loose? The parts manual doesn"t call for a lock washer and I don"t think there is enough room for one anyway. Any suggestions on how to get that front bolt in?
