If the shifter feels normal, and has the Double "H" pattern, and is sloppy but feels like there are gears it is moving, the issue could be a sheared constant mesh gear Key on the countershaft. If sheared, the gear will turn free, but not drive the output. It should work in 5th (try that to see if it will pull the engine down as normal. If it does not, there is some other issue. It could be a broken final drive, or differential gear. One way to see if it is in the final drive (after the trans) stepping on the brakes when the clutch is out will slow the engine (4th gear). Jim
