Try removing the fuel line and install it backwards into the sediment bowl. It will stick out to the side of the tractor. Turn on the fuel and see what you get. It should be a solid stream of fuel. If you have a fuel filter get rid of it. If your fuel line has a loop then get rid of the loop. A loop can cause it to run bad or shut down. If you get good fuel flow here it is downstream of the fuel line. If the tractor has been sitting for a while you might need to flush out the carb. These old units did not like to sit up and not run even back in the day. With the modern non fuel we are asked to use today it would be even worse. It appears you have either a blocked fuel line or a clogged carburetor. It takes longer than a minute for the coil to heat up and shut the engine down. By the way, how did you clean the tank?
